KENDRICK Lamar fans have noticed a hilarious mistake in the rapper’s Drake diss track as he mixes up Haley Joel Osment and Joel Osteen.
On Tuesday, the good kid, m.A.A.d city artist responded to Drake’s Push Ups with the six-minute track, Euphoria.
In one of the lines, Kendrick, 36, slammed, “Am I battlin’ a ghost or AI? N**ga feelin’ like Joel Hill Osteen. Funny he was in a film called AI.”
He continued, “And my sixth sense tellin’ me to off him.”
Actor Haley Joel Osment, 36, starred in both the Bruce Willis-led The Sixth Sense and Stephen Spielberg-directed A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
Fans responded to the rap bar on X, formally Twitter, with one person writing, “Haley Joel Osment being brought up in a rap beef was not on my 2024 bingo card.”
“I bet Haley Joel Osment never thought he’d see a day when he gets a shout-out in a savage Kendrick Diss track,” tweeted another.
Several rap fans mentioned that Kendrick confused Haley Joel Osment with televangelist Joel Osteen, 61.
One person wrote, “Incredible diss work from Kendrick but unfortunately he mistook Haley Joel Osment for Joel Osteen so now he needs to chime in on the beef.”
“Kendrick confusing Haley Joel Osment with Joel Osteen is so f**king funny,” added another.
They continued, “He didn’t even Google s**t, just walked into the booth mad as hell lmaooo.”
A third wrote, “Kendrick bodied. But one note. Joel Osteen & Haley Joel Osment are in fact two different people. @kendricklamar.”
When Kendrick wasn’t confusing preachers for actors, the rapper made direct jabs about Drake, 37, as a father within the six-minute runtime of the diss.
Aubrey Graham, known professionally as Drake, shares son Adonis, six, with French artist Sophie Brussaux.
“I got a son to raise but I can see you don’t know nothing ’bout that,” Kendrick spat on the track.
The Grammy-winning artist shares his daughter Uzi and son Enoch with his fiancee Whitney Alford.
Fans have reacted to Kendrick’s lyrics on X, with one writing, “Kendrick cleared with this response.”
“Drake called him short and got a deadbeat father in return!” a second wrote.
“Big, big miss. I thought Kendrick was going to kill Drake,” another, however, added.
“These bars weak, especially since it’s not true. Enough years already passed and we can see Drake with his kid,” someone else wrote.
HISTORY
The rap heavyweights haven’t always been enemies and in the past, Drake and Kendrick even collaborated on their songs Poetic Justice and F**kin Problems.
The Swimming Pools rapper’s release comes after Drake out his diss track, Push Ups, amid their ongoing feud.
Push Ups was in response to Kendrick’s verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s track, Like That in which Kendrick referenced Drake’s single First Person Shooter, saying, “Yeah, get up with me, f**k sneak dissing…
“…First Person Shooter, I hope they came with three switches.”
“Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD…Motherf**k the Big three…n***a, it’s just big me,” he added.
Kendrick also seemed to mention Drake’s album, For All the Dogs.
“For all your dogs gettin’ buried, that’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary,” he rapped.
In his Push Ups response, Drake mocked K-Dot for being featured in pop songs, the rapper’s stature, as well as Kendrick’s place in the industry.
“Maroon 5 need a verse, you better make it witty,” he rapped in the track, along with, “How the f**k you big steppin’ with a size 7 mens on?”
“Pipsqueak, pipe down / You ain’t in no big three, SZA got you wiped down / Travis got you wiped down, Savage got you wiped down / Like your label, boy, you Interscope right now,” he continued.
DRAKE & RICK ROSS
Drake also targeted Rick Ross, 48, with Push Ups who rebuttaled with his Champagne Moments diss track as the artists have continued to battle it out on social media.
Earlier this month, Rick clapped back at Drake on Instagram after he shared a screenshot of text messages with his mom about recent rumors.
Drake’s mom asked about him getting a nose job; a rumor started by the Money in the Grave rapper in the lyrics of Champagne Moments.
Shortly after Drake uploaded the conversation on Instagram, Rick shared a video of him filming his outdoor pool.
Drake’s Instagram handle was tagged, along with a nose emoji and text that read “BBL Drizzy.”
“Me waking up from a nap I just realized BBL Drizzy called his mommy on me. He shared their text messages between each other,” Rick said from behind the camera.
“Cupcake Drake, tell your mama you stayed out past yo’ curfew white boy,” he added.
Rock also referred to the rapper as “Big Nose” before continuing, “You tell yo’ mama white boy, you stayed out at the pub too late and you can’t call her when you get in this s**t.”
After Rick’s backyard video, he shared a comparison shot with two different photos of God’s Plan rapper.
