The 48th season of Saturday Night Live begins on October 1, and the season premiere will be hosted by Miles Teller and feature musical guest Kendrick Lamar. The following week, Willow will perform during a Brendan Gleeson–hosted episode. Then, on October 15, Megan Thee Stallion will pull double duty as the host and musical guest.
The new season of Saturday Night Live will feature a number of personnel changes after the departures of cast members Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Chris Redd, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney, and more. New cast members for Season 48 include Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker.
Kendrick Lamar last appeared on SNL in 2018 when he did “Tints” with Anderson .Paak. Before that, he performed on the program in November 2014, February 2014, and January 2013.
Megan Thee Stallion made her SNL debut in October 2019, performing “Handsome” with host Chance the Rapper. The next year, she was officially a musical guest and did “Savage” and “Don’t Stop.”
Kendrick Lamar released his latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, in May. Megan Thee Stallion shared her new record, Traumazine, in August.
