KATY Perry has been living it up on the beaches of Spain after getting mixed reactions to her latest single.
The pop singer, who released her new song, Woman’s World, on July 11, was seen enjoying her time in Ibiza, Spain, over the weekend.

Katy, 39, showed off her fit figure in an animal-print thong bikini that left little to the imagination.
The Firework hitmaker appeared to be having fun while shooting a music video in the tiny suit, flaunting her toned abs and backside.
The pictures showed Katy standing in the ocean, walking along the beach, and posing in a kayak while shooting scenes for the project.
One showed the former American Idol judge modeling with her hands in her hair as a photographer snapped her photo.
In another shot, Katy seemed to be having the time of her life while heading out into the water on a yellow and red kayak.
A group of shirtless men was seen pushing the boat as she held an oar over her head and appeared to be screaming in excitement.
Katy, who shares a 3-year-old daughter with Orlando Bloom, was also seen enjoying a slice of watermelon as she stood with one arm overhead once more.
To finish up her glamorous look for the shoot, Katy opted for a netted cover-up dress in some of the shots, which still allowed the sight of her bikini to peek through.
She also accessorized with a chunky belt, white-framed sunglasses, a few necklaces, and a bold red lip color.
SUMMER COMEBACK
Katy’s Spain outing comes just weeks after she released her comeback single, Woman’s World.
Before its anticipated release, Katy had faced backlash from some critics who weren’t on board with the song’s producer.
Katy worked with producer Dr. Luke on the song, which is centered around the idea of female empowerment.
In late June, Katy shared a teaser for the new song on Instagram, where some sounded off in the comments.

Dr. Luke was previously accused of sexually assaulting singer Kesha, and they settled their lawsuit in 2023 after years of legal battles.
Aside from the team associated with the single, Katy also received criticism about the tune’s overall message.

“I was rooting for Katy but these lyrics are so dated it’s giving 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign material. It’s over,” someone wrote.
“New Katy Perry snippet is the worst thing I’ve ever heard,” another slammed on X.
The Dark Horse hitmaker received even more backlash after releasing the song, with one listener even calling it “a parody of feminism gone wrong.”
“This is what a feminist video clip would look like if made by a guy,” another said.

CLEARING THE AIR?
Shortly after, Katy shared an Instagram video while she and her backup dancers were shooting Woman’s World.
She was heard sarcastically yelling the phrases, “Girl boss s**t,” “You can do it,” “You go girl,” and “You were born to shine.”
Katy then explained that she and the director were being very “sarcastic” and “having a bit of fun” with the video.
“It’s very slapstick and very on the nose,” the singer added.

“With this set, it’s like, ‘Ooh we’re not about the male gaze but we really are about the male gaze,'” she explained as she and her dancers were dressed as construction workers.
“And we’re really overplaying it and on the nose.”
While Katy may have been trying to give the meaning behind the visuals, some critics still weren’t having it.
“Imagine having to explain your obvious vision to viewers,” one person wrote.
“Satiric? She’s reaching for straws after the backlash,” another believed.
