KATY Perry has stunned fans with a bold new look as she promoted a new venture.
The pop music star spoke about her drinks business at a conference in Los Angeles on Thursday.
For the event, Katy, 39, promoted her side hustle, De Soi, at the Upfront Summit.
The star – who’ll soon be leaving her American Idol judging role – was photographed in unedited shots, speaking to the crowd in a bright pink outfit.
Katy teamed a strapless dress with a long matching blazer, finishing the look with equally pink shoes.
The television personality stunned in the unfiltered shots, smiling widely at the audience.
Katy also shared a post about the day on Instagram, adding some close-up photos of her look.
The post showed off Katy’s very bold makeup and flawlessly styled hair, along with giving a glimpse of her sparkling gold jewelry.
“I’m that girl that doesn’t put her arms in her coat or preservatives in her cans ammiright @drinkdesoi.
“Got to bring my better-for-you sparkling non alc aperitif and my hot takes on industry lingo like COGS to the @upfrontvc this past #thirstythursday,” the celebrity wrote in her caption.
In the comment section, fans gushed over Katy’s appearance and business acumen.
“Singer, business woman, judge tell me something you don’t do,” praised one fan.
“The pink is FIRE,” a second social media user wrote.
MOVING ON
Katy announced her American Idol departure on February 12, after lots of speculation about her status on the show.
While on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Katy revealed her plans to leave American Idol after six years and seven seasons in order to focus on new music.
The famous judge joined the series during season 16 and will depart following Season 22, which premiered on ABC on February 18, 2024, and is hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
“But I think this will probably be my last show, my last season for Idol,” she said while on the show.
She added, “I love Idol so much, I know. It’s connected me with the heart of America. But I need to feel that pulse to my own beat. I’m creating space for my new wingspan.”
She also explained that the other judges – Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie – “figured something is up” after noticing that the singing sensation had been spending time in the studio.
FAMILY FIRST
Rumors first emerged that Katy would leave American Idol last year, but insiders claimed that there was more behind her decision.
Katy has been with Orlando Bloom, 47, since 2016, with the duo getting engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019.
Although they haven’t tied the knot yet, the partners did welcome a child, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August 2020.
Last year, an insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Katy was considering leaving American Idol in order to spend more time with her daughter.
The source said that the star had been mulling over her future for months and has spoken about her desire to grow her family, spend more time with Orlando, and continue her own musical career away from the show.
The source shared, “With both of them working so much on projects, time as a family is also very precious.
“She’s spoken about wanting more sleep and feeling a lot more emotional than usual this season.”
Katy’s hesitation about staying on American Idol may also have had a financial motivation, as her $30 million salary for American Idol, including the endorsement deals, was unlikely to be increased.
“The money she could earn from a few stadium gigs could eclipse the deal that ABC can offer,” the insider added.
