Pop superstar Katy Perry narrowly avoided disaster at a recent concert in San Francisco when a prop failure almost sent her crashing to the ground from well above the audience.
The incident, which occurred mid-way through her set, involved Perry riding on an oversized butterfly prop that was suspended from the scaffolding in the arena. But when the line carrying the butterfly buckled, Perry was nearly thrown from the prop.

Perry immediately yelled out. But remarkably, within seconds, she recovered to continue to play her hit single “Roar,” while the crowd below looked on with concern.
Thankfully, the Perry was able to ride the mock butterfly the whole way back around to the stage and continued the show without issue.
After the show, Perry was able to make light of the incident on her Instagram story. She posted a screenshot of her face as the prop fell several feet, writing “Good Night San Fran.”
Katy Perry’s Ongoing Tour Has Proven To Be Quite The Adventure In Multiple Way
Perry is currently in the middle of her “Lifetimes Tour,” which has proven a bumpy ride both literally and figuratively. On a recent stop, Perry was forced to sing a pair of breakup songs duriing her ongoing split with actor Orlando Bloom as part of the “Choose Your Own Adventure” segment of the tour.
“You’re gonna make me sing this song in this time in my life?” the pop star asked the crowd in LA. “OK, we’ll do it! Because you voted for it.”
“I let you choose the song tonight because I like to pick an album for every country that I go to and for the U.S.A., I picked Teenage Dream because U.S.A., you could be a teenage dream baby. You better get it together. I’ll always have that feeling for you.”
Safe to say, the last couple of tour stops have been anything but easy for Katy Perry.
