TITANIC star Kate Winslet often goes overboard when getting into character, director James Cameron has revealed.
But in a Variety magazine interview the pair denied rumours of a feud.
Mum-of-three Kate — in a bodice for the photo shoot — was said to have fallen out with Cameron on the set of the 1997 Oscar-winning blockbuster.
They were together again on 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water.
Kate, 48, said: “There’s a part of me that feels almost sad that stupid, speculative Titanic stuff at the time overshadowed the actual relationship I have with him.
“He knows I will be up for anything.
“Any challenge, any piece of direction you give me? I’ll try it.”
Speaking in the new issue, James added: “There was never a rift between us.
“She had a little postpartum depression when she let go of Rose.
“She and I have talked about the fact that she goes really, really deep, and her characters leave a lasting, sometimes dramatic impression on her.”
