Today, the ever effervescent Karina Rykman shared she’ll be setting off on a seven-night run throughout the Northeast this winter. Rykman will be joined on tour by her friends and bandmates Adam November on bass and drummer Chris Corsico.
The Marco Benevento bassist will kick off her tour at the Lark Hall in Albany, N.Y., on Dec. 1 before heading east for a stop at Soundcheck Studios in Pembrook, Mass., the following day. She’ll then make her way to the famous Nectar’s in Burlington, Vt. on Dec. 3. After a short pause, Rykman and company will head to The Pressroom in Portsmouth, N.H., midweek on Wednesday, Dec. 7. From there, she’ll visit Portland, Maine’s Sun Tiki Studios on Dec. 8 and Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport, Conn. on Dec. 9. The final show of the tour will take place at Washington D.C.’s Pearl Street on Dec. 12.
The announcement of the shows comes hot on the heels of a major milestone for Rykman, whose first-ever solo release, 2019’s “Plants,” climbed to over one million streams on Spotify on Sept. 13. It’s also notable that Rykman is also set to perform at Industry City in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Oct. 1 as part of the Rock and Roll Playhouse: Music of Karina Rykman’s Funk Revue for Kids.
Tickets for Rykman’s winter tour go on sale Friday, Sept. 30 at noon. Find tickets to the upcoming shows here.
