Kara doesn’t follow any restrictive diets. “I should be better, but I kinda eat whatever I want,” the model, who soared to fame in a Carl’s Jr. ad, told Fox News in an interview. “I do eat burgers and pizza.” “First, let’s look at the incredible health benefits of topping your burger patty with guacamole. Avocados—the main ingredient in guacamole—is full of healthy fat known as monounsaturated fat. Monounsaturated fat is a good, healthy fat for your body that helps lower the ‘bad’ LDL cholesterol in your body, increases the “good” HDL cholesterol, and keeps you feeling fuller for longer. While avocados do have some saturated fat in it, it’s still significantly less compared to the usual cheddar cheese slice you add to your burger. By topping your patty with guacamole, you still get that fatty effect without all of the extra saturated fat content,” says our sister site Eat This, Not That!
However, if Kara needs to be in great shape, she will amp up her diet and workout. “If I have a swimsuit shoot or something coming up, I make sure to start working out more,” she told Fox. And if I have something important coming up that week, I’ll really try to cut down on sugar and carbs,” she added.
Kara might not be working out all the time, but she dresses the part. “Wears workout clothes to run errands way more than I do to actually workout.. anyone else?” she hilariously captioned this Instagram post.
Kara tries to eat as healthy as possible, but in moderation. “But a healthy well balanced diet is important,” she told Toronto Paradise.
Kara also added to Toronto Paradise that “making sure you’re doing cardio at least three times a week,” is important. “I go hiking at least three times a week, I also do yoga and meditation,” she said.
Kara is all about detoxifying. She told Toronto Paradise that “drinking lots of green tea,” is also an important part of her health plan as “it boosts the metabolism.” “Compared with people who didn’t drink any coffee or green tea, people who drank the most had much lower risks of premature death from any cause: about 40% lower for people who drank either two cups of coffee or four cups of tea per day; and 63% lower for people who drank both four cups of tea plus two cups of coffee per day,” says Harvard Health.
