Rapper Kanye West is dragging many celebrities into his ongoing “White Lives Matter” controversy. The iconic rapper recently made a post dedicated to rapper Drake and thanked him for liking a previous post of his where he questioned Justin Bieber. He added a screenshot highlighting Drake’s Instagram handle in the “Likes” section.
Drake liked the Instagram post where West confronted Hailey and Justin Bieber and asked if he’s been “canceled again.” West and Hailey’s feud began because of her comments supporting Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, whom West had bullied online. Karefa-Johnson was one of many who publicly criticized the “White Lives Matter” shirt designs.
West and Drake have previously had a feud that lasted many years. It involved numerous public digs and diss tracks revealing private information about each other. One particular incident between the two rappers resulted in the world finding out that Drake had a son. They’ve since resolved the feud and seem civil with each other, and maybe even friendly based on Drake’s actions.

Kanye West Thanked Drake
In a new addition to his Instagram feed, West brought Drake into his feud with Hailey and Justin Bieber. The rapper posted a screenshot of his earlier Instagram post attacking the couple for criticizing him and highlighted Drake’s Instagram handle “@champagnepapi” in the ‘liked by’ section.
He captioned the post thanking Drake with, “Everyone Knows Me And Drake Have Had A Rivalry In The Past It Really Warmed My Heart To See Drake Like One Of My Post We Still Need The Donda Team To Play Nocta All Drake Music Will Be Played At Donda Games Moving Forward.”
In the comment section, fans shared their opinion on Drake liking the post against Hailey and Justin. One comment read, “drake is rocking w kanye,” another read, “Don’t forget you’re enemies ye none of this friendliness,” and a third comment stated, “i feel like Drake liked the headline not the post.”
Kanye West’s Post Was Targeted At Hailey And Justin Bieber
The Instagram post that Drake allegedly liked was of West attacking Hailey and Justin for the model’s support of Karefa-Johnson amidst his feud with the editor. It included a screenshot of a Google news page focused on an E! News article of Hailey’s words of support to Karefa-Johnson after West bullied her online.
The article was titled “Hailey Bieber Joins Gigi Hadid in Defending Gabriella Karefa-Johnson After Kanye West After Criticism.” West had captioned the post, “Wait, Am I canceled again??? Justin [Bieber], please let me know.” In another post about the “White Lives Matter” topic, West also mentioned Justin again, telling him to “Get Your Girl Before I Get Mad.”
Kanye West And Drake Had A Feud For Years
The feud West referred to in his post thanking Drake, lasted many years and only ended in 2021. One of the major moments at the beginning of their feud was West ranting on Twitter about Drake after viral rumors that his then-wife, Kim Kardashian, was the “Kiki” Drake had rapped about in his song “In My Feelings.”
However, Kim quickly denied the rumors, saying there was no relationship between her and Drake in that manner. West still fought with Drake over another matter concerning Kim; when he found out that Drake followed the reality star on Instagram.
The feud between the two rappers went on well into 2021, including an incident when West posted the “Take Care” rapper’s Toronto address online. Not long after that, West and Pusha T collaborated on a diss track that revealed to the world that Drake had a son.
They Finally Reconciled In 2021
West and Drake finally reconciled in late 2021 when photos surfaced of them posing together. Shortly before the photos went public, the “Good Morning” rapper invited Drake to perform with him at a December event. Per E!News, He captioned the post, “It’s time to put it to rest,” and added a dove emoji, which symbolizes peace.
Drake later posted a video of him and West on a night out and captioned it, “You have reached your destination.” In November, West was featured in a short video on music executive James Prince’s Instagram. He said, “I am making this video to address the ongoing back and forth between myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other, and it is time to put it to rest.”
