“Thankful I didn’t smack my head but I landed very very hard on my back left ribcage and I broke rib number 6,” the Grammy winner continued. “This s–t is no joke. I’m in a lot of pain and doing ANYTHING is extremely difficult but I’m managing and being well taken care of.”

Due to the injury, Kacey is now postponing her show this weekend in Nashville for a new date in September.

“There is no physical way I can get on a plane and fly back to Nashville for the Sing for Science event with Paul Stamets on Sunday at The Ryman,” Kacey wrote. “I’m extremely bummed to have to reschedule as I have been looking forward to this for months but there is literally no other option. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience.”

“New date: Thursday, 9/18. Tickets for 6/22 are valid for 9/18,” she added. “Fans have up to 30 days if they can’t make it to the new date. Visit Ryman.com for more information.”

We wish Kacey a speedy recovery.
