Justin Bieber’s baffling comments about wife Hailey Bieber’s solo Vogue cover quickly went viral. And now they’re making headlines again for yet another reason.
The “Peaches” singer’s comments about Hailey originally drew the ire of the internet for the way he struggled to praise his wife’s major fashion accomplishment.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed how different his reaction was when his friend, model Kendall Jenner, scored the cover of Vogue nearly 10 years ago.
When Jenner nabbed the cover of the fashion bible, Bieber posted the cover on his Instagram with a glowing caption.
“Congrats ken you look beautiful,” he wrote in an Instagram post still live on his social media account.
It’s quite the contrast to the comments he originally wrote Tuesday alongside a photo of Hailey’s cover.

“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight,” Justin said on Instagram. “I told [Hailey] that she would never be on the cover of vogue.”
“Yikes I know, so mean,” he shared. “For some reason because I felt so disrespected. I thought I gotta get even… I think as we mature we realize that we’re not helping anything by getting even. we’re honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection.”
“So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken,” he wrote.
His caption was later erased and changed to just four emojis: 🤷🫵🏻🫶🏼🥹.
Despite what Bieber originally wrote on Instagram, his comments to Vogue about his wife, which were included in the article, were simple and sweet.
“I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life, but the smartest thing I’ve ever done was marry Hailey,” he told the author.
The singer and model tied the knot in 2018. They recently welcomed their first son, Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024.
