John Fogerty to Celebrate 80th Live in Concert

Decorated musician John Fogerty will celebrate his 80th birthday at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Friday, May 28, 2025. The Grammy winner, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee will mark the momentous occasion by performing select songs from his effervescent career with support from a backing band featuring his sons, Shane and Tyler Fogerty.

Fogerty’s Beacon appearance is one in a series of celebratory events that began in January when the “Proud Mary” writer took part in Los Angeles’ FireAid Benefit Concert, followed by a Sin City residency at the Wynn’s Encore Theater. Earlier this month, the guitarist took part in Austin’s annual SXSW, performing at Stubb’s BBQ and offering rock and roll staples, followed by a conversation with Tom Morello.

Before the May arrival of Fogerty’s Beacon birthday, he will play at New Orleans’ Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 24, days before he is honored at the 2025 American Music Honors, put on by Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University in the Garden State.
