Joe Jonas and Sierra Ferrell is the duo you never expected and never knew you needed. The Appalachian Princess joined the former Disney Channel heartthrob at his pop-up show in Los Angeles, which led to a truly delightful moment between two artists that would not typically pair on paper.
Are they dating? Probably not— but people on the internet were quick to run with that narrative!
Jonas, who took a brief hiatus from the public eye after his divorce from Sophie Turner, has been quietly working on new music during the break. His upcoming album is not a country album. However, it will feature a duet with Ferrell called ‘Sip Your Wine’ that inherently leans toward the genre.
With this new release set to drop on Friday, Joe Jonas has been on the road to build the hype. He randomly popped up at a coffee shop in Nashville to perform some of his biggest hits and a Camp Rock classic. He later showed up at Post Malone’s tour in Texas to sing a duet alongside Ferrell at AT&T Stadium. His “country” voice sounds so much better than I would’ve expected.
The latest surprise show took place at The Mint in Los Angeles. Jonas gave a sneak peek into the forthcoming album, Music For People Who Believe In Love, and brought out special guests like Aly & AJ, Justin Tranter, Josette Maskin, James Alan and his littlest brother, Frankie.
Sierra Ferrell also performed alongside Joe Jonas. They sang a rendition of Shania Twain’s ‘You’re Still The One’ just like they did on stage last week. It sounded just as good in L.A. as it did in Dallas.

Although their duet was great, it was a video from after the show that really got the internet talking. Alex Amen and his bluegrass band set up near The Mint for an impromptu jam. Sierra Ferrell and Joe Jonas just so happened to walk by. And not only did they walk by, they stopped to have a dance.
The internet cannot be normal so everybody saw this video and immediately jumped to the conclusion that they are dating. Maybe they are! It is a non-zero possibility… but I doubt it.
Joe Jonas is coming out of a difficult divorce. Sierra Ferrell is right in the middle of a meteoric rise and has been on the road pretty consistently over the last few months. All of these folks on the World Wide Web act as if they’ve never seen two friends enjoy a platonic dance! That’s how I see it, at least.
