Jessie James Decker was one of the contestants competing for the Mirror Ball trophy on the latest season of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Unfortunately, the country singer and mom of three had to say goodbye to the competition prior to the semi-finals. Despite not winning the Mirror Ball, she looked on the positive side when she was eliminated from the show.
“This is one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. It was emotional. It was challenging. It was all the above, but I’m so grateful for this experience,” she said after the judges decided to send her home.
“I always like to look on the bright side and the bright side is I get to take my kids trick or treating on Monday,” she continued to explain s she was eliminated the Monday before Halloween.
But would the country music singer ever compete on “Dancing With the Stars” again? She is speaking out.
Would Jessie James Decker Return To The Ballroom?
The “Grow Young With You” singer attended the CMA Awards recently and while on the red carpet, she opened up on f she would ever return to the “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom.
“I don’t think I would do [Dancing With The Stars] again,” she told E! Insider, “but I’ll watch it now all the time with the kids. The kids are completely hooked now, but no, that was a one-time thing for me.”
Although she would never compete for the Mirror Ball trophy again, she did admit she loved her time on the show. “I loved [dancing],” she continued. “It was really hard. It was an experience I’ll never forget.”
Jessie James Decker Admits To ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Struggles
While competing on the show, the 34-year-old singer shared a video to social media with her fans, expressing how “anxious” she was over her “Most Memorable Year” dance.
“Good morning you guys,” Decker began her Instagram Story. “[I] slept pretty good last night, but every single night, like the night before a show I always kind of toss and turn just because I’m nervous.”
Decker continued to explain, “I get so nervous, and I get anxious, and I have butterflies, and I’m like reviewing the dances in my head over and over again — like I literally play them in my head from top to bottom.”
Decker Opens Up About Learning New Dances
A few weeks prior, the country music singer admitted how much she was struggling with learning the new dances. “It has been so hard this week I’m not going to lie,” the singer-songwriter said in her Instagram Story. “I am just struggling to get this dance, it’s just been so hard.”
Decker continued, “I feel like I go into this and I feel like it should be easier for me and I just cannot seem to get it. It’s been definitely draining for me.”
Jessie James Decker and her partner Alan Bersten came in tenth place. TikToker Charli D’Amelio and dance partner Mark Ballas ended up taking home the Mirror Ball Trophy.
