TV personality Jenny Powell just posted a stunning new series of beach photos. In them, she sat in the sand while wearing a black bikini. Powell’s incredible figure was on display. She captioned the post: “Embrace. Look up. Soak up. Take that feeling with you. Lots gone on in this past year, Dad passed away,my menopause hit hard and that was just in my world 🙄
Dad’s passing has made me look up a lot more ( mainly talking to him !!)
Also I’ve learnt to avoid the ‘noise’ that hormones and grief can bring. This beach is called Silent Beach .. think we should all have a place at home to be silent .. it’s nourishing and recharges you and gives you time to reflect and manage your thoughts that sometimes lead you astray 🙏 think my silent place will be in the wardrobe ( not many options tbh! ) Where’s yours ?.” How does she stay so fit? In an interview with The Attitude, Powell discussed her divorce, and how it led to her finding her independence. “I’m extremely independent. I feel far more secure in myself about what I can achieve and what I can do on my own. And that goes from what clothes I wear… I’m a completely different person. I dress differently. I’ve taken control.”
While Powell is very independent, she also isn’t afraid to admit when she needs help and actively seeks it out. “Don’t [ever] be afraid to ask for help,” she said to The Attitude. “Don’t ever be afraid to say, ‘Look, should I be unsure about this?’ or ‘I could really do with you helping me with this.’ And I think you have to take that onboard sometimes to just say, ‘You know what: I’ve got her, him, him, her… And I’m going to to draw on that today because I need it.”
Powell loves to do yoga as a way to keep herself in shape. She posted this photo on Instagram of herself in a pose. She captioned it, “Any time any place anywhere .. there is always a headstand to share!’ It’s early but the kids are asleep and with no onlookers, I’m thinking that my ‘me time’ is NOW. Go get your ‘me time’ before the critters wake up.”
In an interview with Your Healthy Living, Powell says that one of her main motivations for staying healthy is her two daughters. She says that this also includes having a good attitude about her body. “I wasn’t quite so aware when I was younger, but since having my daughters, Connie and Pollyanna, I’ve become much more aware of my diet and eating healthily. I think it’s important to be a good role model to my children because I want them to grow up to be strong and healthy and to know what they should and shouldn’t be eating. I think so many kids are unaware of the dangers of sugar and processed foods. It’s also shocking the increasing numbers of people who are obese and who have diabetes. We need to educate our children to look after their bodies.”
Powell tells Your Healthy Living that she likes to cook a lot of her meals at home. “I always make sure that we cook our meals from scratch,” she says. “I don’t use anything processed or ready-made.”
