According to a representative from Live Nation, J.Lo’s highly anticipated “THIS IS ME…LIVE” tour has been abruptly canceled. The tour was scheduled to kick off in June and span various North American venues until August.

The singer addressed the cancellation on her website “OntheJLo,” expressing her deep regret. “”I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” she wrote. 

She assured fans, “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”

It was reported that the mother-of-two was “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.” Without any other official reason, the decision came amidst swirling rumors about her personal life.

Despite her personal turmoil, the cancellation certainly seemed to be a tough decision for the actress, who was visibly disappointed, as reflected in her heartfelt message.

As to if weak tickets sales could have been the reason, sources disclosed to TMZ that ticket sales had been increasing in key cities.

Apart from her personal struggles, J.Lo seems to be encountering difficulties with her music career, specifically regarding a lucrative Las Vegas residency deal.

The Blast reported that the TV personality’s $90 million residency deal with MGM Resorts is now uncertain due to the underwhelming performance of her recent album and tour.

An insider revealed that MGM is concerned about J.Lo’s lackluster tour results. “MGM is watching her not doing well on the road. They are very nervous. It’s pretty rare you have a poor tour and then go to Vegas,” the source stated.

As a result, the insider suggested that J.Lo’s potential deal might be significantly reduced.

Casino Executives Hesitant Despite Competing Offers

Although MGM, in collaboration with Live Nation, had previously offered J.Lo over $800,000 per show, Rival Casino Resorts World had a counteroffer.

They increased their bid to $875,000 per show, partnering with Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG). MGM and Live Nation then countered with a $1 million-per-show offer for 90 performances from next year.

Despite these competitive offers, an insider noted that casino executives were now hesitant about finalizing the agreement, leading to a sense of buyer’s remorse.

At the same time, another source confirmed that while discussions with MGM are ongoing, no formal deal had been signed yet.
