Jennifer Lopez reportedly feels “furious” and “humiliated” that her marriage to Ben Affleck, which came after they rekindled a 20-year-old relationship, is ending after just two years.
While Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have yet to divorce officially, all signs point to that eventuality as the pair are reportedly no longer on speaking terms and have both made major moves in the real estate market.
According to sources connected with the couple, Lopez is “furious” and “humiliated” over their truncated marriage, which became official in July 2022.
“Jennifer Lopez is ‘furious’ and ‘humiliated’ over her split from Ben Affleck, says a source, who says that Affleck is holding off on filing for divorce to spare her more embarrassment.”
“She’s furious. He has humiliated her. He was the one who initiated getting back together… He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life. They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids.”
A further aspect of Lopez’s embarrassment comes from the fact that she just produced The Greatest Love Story Never Told, a documentary about making her recent This Is Me… Now concept album and feature film, which was inspired by her reunion with and marriage to Affleck.
The source also says that the interconnectivity of their family is also making the divorce difficult, with Lopez reportedly being particularly close with Affleck’s daughter Violet — an aspect that has Affleck feeling the divorce is “tricky.”
“There are five kids involved in this. She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over.”
In September, Lopez’s new movie Unstoppable will have its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival. The film was produced by Affleck’s production company Artists Equity.
