Jenna Marbles made a rare appearance in public five years after leaving YouTube behind – and fans are begging paparazzi to leave her alone.
Jenna Mourey, famously known as “Jenna Marbles,” was one of YouTube’s first major stars. However, shortly after creating her channel in 2010, Mourey created content that critics deemed racially offensive, which included a controversial impression of rapper Nicki Minaj.
Marbles continued to make content until 2020, when netizens began speaking out against her past videos. After receiving backlash from her 20M YouTube subscribers, Mourey issued an apology and stepped away from being a content creator.
“For now, I just can’t exist on this channel… I think I’m just going to move on from this channel for now,” Mourey said in a June 2020 YouTube video. “I don’t know how long it’s going to be. I just want to make sure the things I’m putting in the world aren’t hurting anyone. So, I need to be done with this channel, for now or for forever.”
Though the YouTuber has been MIA from the internet, where she once thrived as a comedian, Mourey was pictured for one of the first times in five years on February 21, 2025.
On that Friday, Mourey was seen walking her dogs with her husband and fellow YouTuber. Julien Solomita. As she strolled down her neighborhood in Los Angeles, Mourey wore black sweatpants with a red-checkered flannel.
Jenna Marbles’ devoted fans demand she be left alone
Despite her millions of fans going without content from their favorite creator for years, when photographs of Mourey walking her dogs appeared online, they rallied behind her, saying it wasn’t fair for paparazzi to follow the retired YouTuber.

“This is so invasive. Stop this. Jenna is off limits,” commented a fan on a TikTok video of Mourey’s outing.
“Man, this is NOT how I want to see her. I want to see her when and if she wants to be seen,” said another.
Though Mourey hasn’t created new content in years, her rare public appearance is no indication of whether or not she’ll return to the spotlight.
She is far from the only big-time YouTuber to step away from the internet. YouTube star CoryxKenshin famously left the platform for a year and a half before making his long-awaited comeback in late 2024.
