Jenna Jameson is showing off her fit figure at the gym. In a new social media post the adult film star gives her followers a glimpse of her grueling workout – and washboard abs – in a two-piece workout ensemble. “Getting strong… sober. Happy,” she captioned the Instagram clip. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
After injuring her shoulder a few years ago, Jenna “decided to start yoga,” she revealed in a post. “I always was a nay sayer when it came to yoga ( I thought it was boring and annoying). Maybe because it forces you into your own head and feelings. The quiet of it used to scare me. I now sneak onto my rooftop and enjoy morning yoga before anyone is awake. If you would have told me 5 years ago this would be me, I would have facepalmed you.”
Jenna spends a lot of time at the gym doing weight and strength training workouts. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:
- Develop strong bones
- Manage your weight
- Enhance your quality of life
- Manage chronic conditions
- Sharpen your thinking skills
Jenna also goes for hikes. “Hiking red rock canyon in style,” she captioned a post. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
Jenna is a big fan of the keto diet, which she has used off-and-on to lose weight. After speculation about her recent weight loss, she revealed she was back on the high-fat, low-carb diet. “I wanted to address a few things. I know everybody — well, not everybody but a lot of people — are addressing my weight loss,” she said. “I’m just minding my health,” she added. “I’m back to keto. It makes me feel the best.”
Along with keto Jameson is “doing a little bit of intermittent fasting,” she revealed in the same post, adding that due to the combo of keto and fasting “the weight’s falling off.” Intermittent fasting works by “prolonging the period when your body has burned through the calories consumed during your last meal and begins burning fat,” explains Johns Hopkins Medicine.
