Taylor Swift’s potential future brother-in-law is set to try his hand at late night. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night, Jason Kelce announced he will begin hosting a late night show on ESPN early next year.
Titled They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce, the one-hour show will air five weekly episodes on Saturday nights. The first episode will be taped at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer in front of a live audience on Friday (January 3rd).
The first four episodes will air weekly at 1:00 a.m. ET beginning on January 4th, with the fifth and final episode airing at 1:30 a.m. on February 1st.
“I loved late-night shows, I’ve always loved them,” Kelce told Kimmel. “I remember sleepovers watching Conan O’Brien with my friends. We’re going to have a bunch of guys up there — legends of the game, friends that I played with, coaches, celebrities.”
The retired Philadelphia Eagles center currently hosts a popular podcast with his younger brother, Travis, called New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce. He’s also currently in the first year of a multi-year contract with ESPN, appearing on Monday Night Countdown for halftime and postgame analysis.
Besides podcasting, Kelce records an annual holiday charity album. Last year, it was called A Philly Special Christmas Special and featured a cover of The Pogues’ “Fairytale of New York,” which he and Travis flipped into a song about their football and sibling rivalry.
This year, Kelce’s charity album is titled A Philly Special Christmas Party and features an appearance from Stevie Nicks. Pick up a copy here, and stream it below via Amazon Music.
