Long-time content creator Jarvis Khattri has been unbanned on Twitch four years after being permanently suspended for cheating on Fortnite.
Before September 2020, the former FaZe member was considered one of Twitch’s most popular Fortnite-focused streamers, with hundreds of thousands of followers.
In 2019, however, he was banned from Fortnite for life due to having used an aimbot program that he said was installed “for content” and had no plans to use it beyond recording one YouTube video.
Jarvis continued streaming despite being unable to play Fortnite until September 2020, when he decided to make another account and go live on Twitch, streaming the popular battle royale. Just 10 minutes into the broadcast, with nearly 50,000 people watching, however, he was permanently banned from Twitch.
Fans have eagerly awaited for him to return to streaming on Twitch in the years since, and on Monday, April 7, Jarvis was finally unbanned from the platform.
Jarvis unbanned on Twitch after four years
News of his long-awaited unban broke on X, and quickly garnered a reaction from both Jarvis and his fans.
“Perfect timing for the unbanning,” he said in reply to the StreamerBans tweet revealing his account was restored. In a second post, he said: “Tomorrow could be the day,” alongside a picture of a Fortnite character.
Due to his comment, fans believe that Jarvis could be unbanned on Fortnite sooner than later. Others are simply excited for the idea he may return to Twitch soon.
“This is bout to be huge,” one user said.
Another commented: “Controller content will be peak again.”
“This Comeback is Going To Be Crazy,” a third fan replied.
This comes just days after Adin Ross was unbanned on Twitch two years after being indefinitely removed from the platform for unmoderated hateful conduct in chat.
Twitch has been reviewing their stance on several permabanned streamers on the platform, making it possible Jarvis is just one of many streamers who gets unbanned.
