Actor Jared Padalecki is grateful to fans after surviving a devastating car accident.
On Sunday, “Supernatural” costar Jensen Ackles told fans at a convention in New Jersey that Jared, who had been the passenger in the vehicle, was “so lucky to be alive.”
Fans got #WeLoveYouJaredPadalecki, #GetWellSoonJared, #SPNFamily, and many other variations of the hashtag showing support for the “Walker” actor trending over the weekend. On Tuesday, the actor who played Sam Winchester for 15 seasons on the CW series took to Twitter to let fans know that he was all right and thank them for their “outpouring of love.”

On Tuesday night, Jared took to Twitter to let his fans know that he was on the mend.
He tweeted, “Hey y’all! I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love. I’m definitely on the mend and hoping to return to filming later this week. I’m so lucky to have had the best care and be surrounded by people who love me. So grateful for everyone🙏#SPNFamily #WalkerFamily #AKF” #AFK stands for Always Keep Fighting.
Jared is married to “Supernatural” costar Genevieve Padalecki (née Genevieve Cortese) who played the demon Ruby on the early seasons of the CW series, which ran from 2005 to 2020. Together, the couple has three children: Thomas, 10, Shep, 8, and Odette, 5.
