Jamie Spears Does Not Want To Go Back To Court With Britney Spears
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jamie Spears filed a motion for summary judgment in Britney’s conservatorship case, claiming that there is no reason to proceed to a trial.
“Jamie brings this motion because there are no triable issues of material fact and Jamie is entitled to judgment as a matter of law on Britney’s Objections,” the filing states. “Jamie seeks summary judgment on the following bases as to all of Britney’s Objections and, alternatively, seeks summary adjudication as to each of Britney’s Objections.”

Jamie Says Britney Had Plenty Of Time To Object
Jamie wants a judge to overrule all of Britney’s objections in the matter. The filing goes on to say: “”It is too late for Britney to convert Information Request Nos. 3-5 into objections because any new objections or claims would be untimely, Britney had three and one-half years to pursue any additional objections, and Britney cannot attempt to add new objections on the eve of trial.”

“For the foregoing reasons, Jamie respectfully requests the Court issue an order granting summary judgment, overruling Britney’s all of Britney’s objections and information requests, approving the Accounting, and taking the May 13, 2024 trial off the calendar,” the court document continues. “Alternatively, Jamie requests the Court issue an order granting summary adjudication as to each of Britney’s individual objections and information requests.”

Britney’s Possessions Allegedly Went Up For Auction
One interesting thing to note in the court filing is one email attached as an exhibit. In 2020, there is a reference that Jamie might have put Britney’s items up for auctions in order to make some quick cash. One letter reads, “Sam [D. Ingham III], Given the almost 13 years that you have been working with Jamie, we are surprised by your inquiry. Of course this was not done by Jamie.”
“It is as unthinkable that Jamie would put Britney’s belongings for auction without her consent as it would be to think that Jeryll, Jodi, Robin, you, or I were involved,” the letter continues. “To be clear, Jamie knew nothing about this auction until we forwarded your email to him, and he had nothing to do with it.”

The letter notes that there are “numerous people who have and had access to Britney’s possessions” and encourages Sam to ask Lynne Spears, Britney’s mother, about potentially putting the items up for auction.
Did Lynne Spears Put Britney’s Items Up For Auction?
In November 2023, sources told The Daily Mail that Britney would be “fuming” if she knew that some of her personal items had been sold at auction. Insiders told the publication that Lynne Spears started selling her daughter’s clothing at Connie’s Jewelry and Gifts in Kentwood, Louisiana, which is owned by Britney’s childhood friends family.
According to the sources, Britney’s mother started selling the pop star’s items in 2018 and has “easily made thousands of dollars in profit” from the sale of Britney’s possessions. The insiders emphasized that Britney has “no clue” that her stuff is being sold.

“When Britney would come home early in her career, she would unload her clothes at her mom’s house in Kentwood. This also included things she wore on tours and her personal clothes,” an insider alleged. “She has no clue and would be fuming if she did.”
Britney Spears Finalized Her Divorce With Sam Asghari
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari finalized their divorce on May 1. The two met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 and became engaged in September 2021, only two months before her controversial 13-year conservatorship came to an end in November 2021.
The two tied the knot a few months later, in June 2022. However, in August 2023, the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” as a reason for the split. At this time, it seems that Sam did not contest the prenup.
All that is left for a judge to sign off on the divorce in order for the former couple to be declared legally single.
