YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and speed-skating world champion Jutta Leerdam have announced their engagement.
The couple, who began dating in 2023, announced the news on March 22 with a collaborative Instagram post, where they shared photos of the proposal.
The post, captioned, “We’re engaged, we can’t wait to spend forever together,“ delighted their combined 33 million followers. The images showed Jake Paul proposing on a picturesque balcony adorned with white petals, flowers, and candles.
One photo captured the moment Paul got down on one knee, while others highlighted the sparkling engagement ring and the couple celebrating by tossing petals into the air.
When did Jake Paul and Jutta Leerdam get together?
Paul and Leerdam have been together for two years, first connecting on Instagram in 2023 after both ended previous relationships. Paul had recently split from his on-again, off-again partner Julia Rose, while Leerdam had broken up with fellow Dutch speed skater Koen Verweij in August 2022.
The pair quickly became inseparable, moving in together in Puerto Rico while frequently traveling to Europe and the United States. Their relationship blossomed on social media, where they shared glimpses of their adventures and growing bond.
Earlier this year, Paul revealed that Leerdam was “the one” during a podcast interview, even hinting at plans to start a family with her.
Jake’s engagement comes less than two years after his older brother, Logan Paul, proposed to model Nina Agdal. With Logan and Nina set to tie the knot soon, it’s a celebratory time for the Paul family.
