Jade Carey in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares Her "Recovery"

Jade Carey is working on recovery in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the gymnast shares a glimpse of her gym routine while showing off her strong and fit figure in exercise attire. “@healingmotionpt helping me to progress my power, speed, strength, and endurance while optimizing my recovery 💪,” she captioned the post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Carey told Inside Gymnastics Magazine that she has a training buddy, fellow gymnast Riley McCusker . “We really push each other to be better and help each other in every way we can. It’s nice to have a training partner that knows exactly what you’re going through,” she said.

In an interview with PS, Carey revealed that she has an intense ab routine that preps her for big competitions. “It’s pretty quick, but it’s still pretty hard and a good workout,” the gymnast said. Exercises include hollow holds, v ups, and arch ups.

Jade enjoys hiking. “Sunset lover,” she captioned a post, admiring the view from up top. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

You can find Jade standup paddle boarding while she is vacationing near water. “g o o d v i b e s,” she captioned a post. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and also a great form of cardio. The water sport can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140 pound male and 436 for a female the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

In her recent post, Jade strength trains at the gym. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills
