In the lead-up to fall, Netflix has announced the long-awaited premiere date for It’s What’s Inside, the buzzy horror thriller that it purchased for around $17 million at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, as we first reported.
Marking an accomplished first feature for writer-director Greg Jardin, the film releases globally on the streamer on October 4. Netflix also unveiled a new series of first-look stills, which can be found above and below.
An enticingly twisty tale tonally reminiscent of Halina Reijn’s 2022 A24 horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies, It’s What’s Inside watches as a group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-hidden secrets, desires, and grudges.
Pic’s cast includes Brittany O’Grady (The White Lotus), James Morosini (I Love My Dad), Gavin Leatherwood (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nina Bloomgarden (The Idea of You), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Fear the Walking Dead), Reina Hardesty (Brockmire), Devon Terrell (Totally Completely Fine), and David Thompson (Panic). William Rosenfeld, Kate Andrews, Jason Baum and Raúl Domingo produced, with Oscar nominee Colman Domingo exec producing alongside Ulf Ek and Robert Kapp.
