IShowSpeed reveals health problems after viral Royal Rumble spot

YouTube star IShowSpeed opened up about his injuries from his viral performance at the WWE Royal Rumble, saying he “genuinely thought” he was “about to die.”

On February 1, top streamers IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat broadcasted from the WWE’s Royal Rumble — but Speed made a shock appearance in the match itself and instantly blew up on social media.

After being called out by Triple H to replace an injured Akira Tozawa, Speed faced off against Bron Brekker in the ring… but despite his athleticism, he was no match for the pro wrestler, who slammed him into the mat with a brutal spear before tossing him out of the ring.

While Speed is hailed for his athletic talents, it was clear he was outmatched in this arena, leaving the venue in crutches and a neck brace.

IShowSpeed feared he was ‘about to die’ from brutal WWE injuries

The streamer opened up about his injuries in a broadcast on February 17, just over two weeks after getting rocked by Brekker’s spear on live TV, saying he “genuinely” thought he might lose his life.

According to Speed, he suffered from a massive headache, saying he couldn’t even move his body the day after the event.

“The day after Bron Brekker speared me, I had probably one of the worst headaches,” he told his viewers. “I couldn’t move. I thought I was genuinely about to die. Real talk.

“That was maybe one of the craziest, worst experiences ever. I’m being so serious right now.”

Luckily, Speed’s participation in the Rumble paid off big-time, with Triple H saying he wants the streamer back for another match. The YouTuber was even featured in an official trading card commemorating the moment, which broke records on X for the most-liked tweet in WWE history.

With Speed vowing to get revenge, it’s highly likely that we might see him grace the ring once more, making him the latest influencer to get involved with the WWE following Logan Paul’s continued success in the organization.
