IShowSpeed handed $1k donation from fan on bike as security scramble to keep him safe

IShowSpeed’s security had to step in as the streaming star was mobbed by one over-excited fan, and had another give him $1000 while riding a bike.

Over the last year, IShowSpeed has taken his streams on the road, visiting South America, South East Asia, Europe, and even Australia. While the YouTube star has linked up with celebrities and other personalities, the main goal of the streams has been to meet fans.

Sometimes, though, fans take it upon themselves to make the content all about them. When he was in Europe, for example, over-eager fans of Speed damaged the rental cars his team were using. That left him $50k out of pocket.

Most recently, the streaming star has been in China, traveling to different cities and, again, meeting thousands of fans.

IShowSpeed mobbed fan by eager fan

During his trip to Chongqing, Speed was mobbed by fans who want to follow his every step. That included one incredibly eager viewer who jumped ahead of his security in order to get his shirt signed.

“Sign for me, sign for me!” he said, grabbing Speed as the YouTuber’s security tried to jump in between them. The YouTube seemed like he was going to give the fan an autograph at first but couldn’t help but shout “hell nah” as they wouldn’t let go of him.

After his security urged the fan to calm down, Speed eventually signed a Ronaldo-themed doll they had before going on his way.

That wasn’t the only crazy interaction he had with fans there. While travelling in a van, Speed was urged to open the door by fans who were riding on motorbikes.

One of the bikes drove right up to Speed’s open door, handing him four envelopes. Once he opened them, the YouTuber noted he’d received around $1000 in donations. “What the hell!” Speed said after he realized what had gone on.

Speed’s trip to China is far from over as he’s still trying to link up with actor Jackie Chan for a stream.

The whole trip is costing him a fair bit too, as his team downplayed claims that the Chinese government paid him to be there.
