Speculation has been rife in recent weeks about whether or not Marina Squerciati’s character, Officer Kim Burgess, will be leaving the popular NBC show ‘Chicago PD’ – and after its 200th episode, no less! However, the showrunner Rick Eid confirmed that there are currently no plans for her to leave.
Despite this confirmation from Eid however, fans have been speculating that her character is slowly being phased out of the series.
Social media posts from Squerciati herself showing images of her saying goodbye to Burgess have only further fueled these rumors.
But Eid insists that nothing has yet been decided and that her character may still appear in future episodes.
It looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds for Burgess and Squerciati!
But one thing is certain – Chicago PD fans are sure to keep a close eye on the show’s next few episodes.
Regardless of whether or not Squerciati is leaving, her character will surely have an important part to play in the upcoming episode – after all, it is its landmark 200th episode!
