Cynthia Erivo is just one award away from achieving EGOT status, but many people will first be introduced to her through the Wicked movie and many will want to know more about her life, including her relationship status.

Who are Cynthia Erivo’s ex-boyfriends?
Cynthia has two previous boyfriends who she’s talked about before in the media. She dated British theatre actor Dean John-Wilson (pictured above) from 2013 to 2017 and she dated Mario Martinez from 2017 to 2019.
In 2021, Cynthia came out as queer and she clarified a year later that she is bisexual.
“I didn’t have the language to even know what was going on,” she said on the Kelly Clarkson Show. “It’s come much later to me now, and it’s wonderful to just be me. It’s made space creatively to let go of whatever I was hiding.”
Who is Cynthia Erivo dating right now?
Cynthia is currently in a relationship with writer and comedian Lena Waithe. While they’ve known each other since at least 2018, relationship rumors didn’t start until around 2021.
Back in January 2020, Lena talked about “vibing” with Cynthia after first meeting at the Met Gala.
“I was so excited to meet her at the Met and we did that whole thing, like, ‘Oh my gosh’ and exchanged information. We have just been vibing ever since. It’s hard out there on Twitter when people have a lot of opinions, but I think she’s handled it with grace,” Lena told Variety.
