Popular Counter-Strike streamer ‘evelone2004’ has surpassed star VTuber Ironmouse’s Twitch subscriber record, taking 2nd place in the site’s rankings.

In September 2024, VTuber and singer Ironmouse broke the world record for most active Twitch subscribers after reaching a total of 306,621 subs, thanks to her viral subathon.

She held on to this record for several weeks before being overtaken by Kai Cenat during his hugely successful Mafiathon 2 stream in November – he now holds the world record with over 700,000 subscribers.

However, just two weeks after Mafiathon ended, another streamer unexpectedly entered the fray, knocking Ironmouse down to third in the all-time sub rankings.

Evelone2004’s sub count has sky-rocketed thanks to his co-stream of the CS2 Major in Shanghai.

Who is evelone2004?

On December 14, popular Twitch streamer ‘evelone2004’ managed to overtake Ironmouse’s subscriber record, garnering over 350,000 active subscribers while co-streaming the Perfect World CS2 Shanghai Major live from the event venue.

The Russian squad of Team Spirit went all the way through the playoffs to the grand final, where they defeated FaZe Clan to be crowned champions. As Evelone streams in Russian, his channel was the place to be for fans of the team watching the event.

Real name Vadim Kozakov, Evelone is a 28-year-old streamer, boasting over a million followers on his channel and a staggering 25.8 million hours watched, standing in the top 5 most-subscribed channels on Twitch.

Before the tournament started, however, he had less than 20,000 active subscribers, so no one would have expected him to rise up so fast to knock Ironmouse off 2nd place for most subs ever.

According to TwitchTracker, over 97% (343,706) of the subscriptions were gifted, out of the total 351,665 active subs at the time of writing.

Twitch uses regional pricing for subscriptions, meaning the cost in Russia and Ukraine is much lower than in the US. In Russia, a tier 1 sub costs 130 RUB, which is roughly $1.25 USD. In Ukraine, the price is 35.99 UAH, or $0.86 USD.

He also has another alias, Evelone192, under which he has a secondary Twitch channel with over 2.4 million followers.

Evelone’s achievement is another example of non-English speaking streamers dominating, following the likes of Spanish-speaking broadcaster Ibai Llanos breaking records on Twitch with his viral boxing event.

At the time of writing, Ironmouse hasn’t publicly responded to Evelone’s accomplishment — but she’s made it clear that she’s happy for other creators who find success on the site, as evidenced by her excited reaction to Kai breaking her record in November.
