Last month, Interpol announced a run of tour dates in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album, Antics. Now, the band has detailed a full-fledged Antics reissue, arriving on streaming services services today and, with a physical release following later this year.
First released on September 27th, 2004, Antics is one of Interpol’s most-loved records, featuring hits like “Evil,” “C’mere,” and “Slow Hands.” The 20th anniversary edition includes the bonus track “Direction,” originally recorded as the band’s contribution to the soundtrack to the HBO series Six Feet Under, plus a live recording of the band’s 2005 concert at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes.
As for the physical releases of Antics: 20th Anniversary Edition, the album will be available in three variants: a limited-edition red vinyl, a Mexico-exclusively red, green, and white vinyl, and a 3xLP box set that’ll come with a 30-page book featuring photos, writings, and more. The red and tri-color vinyl will be available later this fall (October 25th and November 9th, respectively), and the box set will be made-to-order, with pre-orders ongoing through November 14th.
Additionally, on Friday, September 27th, the Mexico City show will be available to watch in full YouTube. Below, you can see the band’s performance of “Slow Hands.”
As for their tour dates, Interpol will hit the road next month for shows across Europe, the UK, and the US, during which they’ll perform Antics in full. Get tickets here.
