A MUM influencer assaulted a love rival at a red light, leaving the victim afraid to leave her home.
Nicole Wong, known as The Wisdom Family on social media, attacked her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend after waiting next to her at a red light last year.
Wong, 33, repeatedly punched and scratched the victim in the brutal attack.
Wong has 80,000 followers on Instagram and 70,000 on TikTok where she posts about her six kids and motivation and parenting hacks for mums.
The influencer has pleaded guilty to assault despite claiming she is as much a victim herself.
She appeared at Leeds’ Magistrates’ Court on Thursday where the judge heard the victim also had her four-year-old son in the back of the car.
The victim is currently dating the Wong’s ex, who is also the father of her children.
At the lights, Wong walked around to the driver’s door of the victim’s car who was strapped into the seat by her seat belt.
The four-year-old was described as being distressed during the attack and shouting for Wong to “get off mummy”.
LeedsLive reported the court heard Wong’s attack only ended when a member of the public stopped Wong and told her to leave.
Wong left the woman with a large lump on her head and made her fearful to leave the home in case she sees Wong again.
The prosecutor said the woman also feels unsafe in her own home and she would be targeted by Wong in the future.
In a statement, the victim said: “her son often wakes up with nightmares and started bedwetting again and keeps bringing up the assault – especially when out and about as they pass the location.”
“He asks why someone would do that to his mummy and if they will be coming back. It has left her grappling with severe anxiety and regular panic attacks and has led her to rely on medication…”
The court heard the woman has been in a relationship with Wong’s ex-partner for about three years and had never interacted with her.
Wong’s children and her friend were in her car during the May 22 attack.
A probation worker said Wong had limited empathy and wasn’t sure whether she accepted responsibility for the attack.
The probation service worker said: “She has limited empathy…She lives with her six children in a local authority house…She is in an on-off relationship.”
Wong previously only had driving offences on her record.
District Judge David Grittins handed Wong a six-month community order and 150 hours of unpaid work.
She also must pay a £114 victim surcharge and court costs of £85.
