Here’s a closer look at how Mimi stays in shape and prioritizes self-care.
As you can see from her Instagram video, Elashiry likes to dance to stay in shape. According to Better Health, dance has a lot of benefits. “Dancing can be a way to stay fit for people of all ages, shapes and sizes. It has a wide range of physical and mental benefits including: improved condition of your heart and lungs, increased muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness, increased aerobic fitness, improved muscle tone and strength, weight management.”
Elashiry is extremely grateful to the people who have supported her. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “🐍 Oh, how time has passed, yet I am still so grateful for everyone who came together to help create this dream, this film for my website 🌞 This day lives rent free in my mind… a dream of mine brought to life by talented creatives and family. 🐍🌙✨ Bringing creativity, imagination, playfulness and darkness the full spectrum – a representation of who I am.”
Elashiry likes to go on wellness retreats. She shared these highlights from one of them on Instagram. Elashiry captioned the post, “Thinking back to this beautiful time we spent at @koru_sabi_lodge 🪵☄️~ not only immersing ourselves in nature, but connecting to our own nature.. finding our own natural rhythm.. through @orchardstlove 10 Day Detox Kit. 🌱 We did this during our stay at the Lodge. Fire 🪵 🔥 We had beautiful Saunas, Ice baths and fires @koru_sabi_lodge while cooking our market produce & eating a very clean, mostly plant based diet for 10 days, taking herbal supplements & teas for Liver Detoxification + Gut cleansing 🥑🥒🥦🫛… this was such a wonderful gift to give to ourselves after a massive year of travel- although the cleanse was challenging (to let go of all sugar/naughty sweet treats and coffee….🥐🍯☕️) It was even more rewarding. 🏅 🌱 🥑”
As you can see from the previous Instagram post, Elashiry likes to go in saunas. These have a lot of health benefits. UCLA Health reports, “Sitting in a sauna may be particularly good for your heart. The heat can raise your skin temperature and cause heavy sweating — just a short time in the sauna can produce a pint of sweat. As your body attempts to keep cool, your heart rate increases and may reach 100-150 beats per minute.”
Elashiry also revealed in her Instagram post that she loves to do ice baths. These also have health benefits. The Mayo Clinic states, “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. Less damage leads to less inflammation, which in turn reduces soreness and helps restore physical performance the next day.”
