Indian actress Amyra Dastur doesn’t stop training, even on the weekends (after all, she does describe herself as a “fitness freak”). Dastur, 31, shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a matching tank top, using an exercise ball to work out on her mat. “Saturday š¦¾,” she captioned the post. “Impressive core strength! Your dedication to fitness really shines through that video. Keep it up šŖš»š„,” a fan commented. Here’s what Dastur’s health and wellness regimen looks like.Ā
Dastur enjoys a gluten-free diet with lots of protein and vegetables. “My breakfast is a three egg-white omelet with tomato, coriander, garlic & carrots with a slice of gluten free bread,” she told Miss Malini. “Lunch and dinner are usually the same ā 3 veggie dishes made in ghee (very little) + Dal + grilled chicken or fish. During the day I snack on fruits which have a high water content like watermelon, grapes, oranges and some dry fruits when I’m in the mood for something crunchy.”
Dastur does gymnastics at home every day for an hour and a half. “Tuesday/Thursday and Saturday is the gym from 11 a.m. ā 12:30 p.m. Here it’s mostly weight training with 10-15 minutes of cardio (treadmill or stairmaster) as a warmup,” she told Miss Malini. “3 times a week in the afternoon I have a 2-hour dance class whenever my teacher and I have time free. Sometimes it’s 3 days in a row or alternate days but 3 times a week is fixed.”
Dastur is happiest in nature. “I’m a nature child,” she told Zee Zest. “I love beaches and mountains. The weather has become perfect for long treks, and I look forward to this time of year so I can go on some fun adventures with my friends.Ā I’m also a fitness freak so trekking for me is like meditation. I feel happy and calm when I’m around nature and it really helps me feel at peace with myself.”
Dastur loves running outside. “On Sunday mornings, I love going for a run from the beginning of Nariman Point through the marine drive and straight to my apartment,” she told Miss Malini. “I cab it to Nariman Point and get home on my own two legs either running or jogging.”
Dastur oils her hair every Sunday. “My mom oiling my hair is one of my fondest memories,” she told Zee Zest. “We’d do this every Sunday and I really cherish those memories with her. She’d ask me about my week, and we’d talk for hours while waiting for the oil to soak into my hair and then I would head for my hair wash.”
