In Flames have shared another piece of their upcoming new album, ‘Foregone’, and it finds them in powerful waters.
It’s ‘Foregone Pt.2’, a continuation of the title track, and it incorporates elements that the band haven’t worked with in a while.
It’s grandiose, emotional, defiant and brimming with character. It’s a wonderful reminder of just how far the In Flames sound stretches and how powerful they can be.
Vocalist Anders Fridén had this to say:
“While revisiting songs in our catalog like Moonshield and Gyroscope, I felt we hadn’t done that style for a while. We wanted to honour those types of songs which incorporates the Swedish folk vibe, but bring it to the current era of In flames. Musically and lyrically it is a continuation of Foregone.”
