HALSEY says she is lucky to be alive and hinted that she has been diagnosed with lupus and leukaemia.
The Grammy-nominated singer took to Instagram to announce her new single The End – lead track from her fifth studio album – before revealing her secret health battle.
She told fans: “Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive,” before tagging in charities that support people living with lupus and leukaemia.
Speaking in a video she posted online, Halsey said: “I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick.
“When I’m 30, I’m having a rebirth and I’m not going to be sick.
“I’m going to look super hot and have lots of energy and get to redo my twenties and thirties.”
Dakota’s signal for doubters?
DAKOTA JOHNSON appears to show what she thinks of rumours she has split from Chris Martin.
The Fifty Shades Of Grey actress is filming romcom Materialists in New York, with Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. She plays a high end match-maker.
Last month the internet was awash with claims she and the Coldplay singer had broken up.
A woman Chris gave a lift to on his way to perform at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton had written online that he was single. But it turned out she had misunderstood him.
To be honest, I’d be a tad flustered, too, if Chris stopped by and gave me a lift.
BEAUX’S SELECTED
IF you like soul rock ’n’ roll, check out Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse.
A lovely reader, Rob, told me about the two-piece, created by US singer Greta Valenti and Brit guitarist Robin Davey. And he was spot on – they’re brilliant.
On his rock show last week, Radio 2’s Johnnie Walker played their single Oh Yeah! from their new album, Hot Nostalgia Radio. It’s quick and very catchy.
Robin, who has recorded with Sir Mick Jagger and Katy Perry, will play the 100 Club in central London with Greta on July 26 and I’ll definitely be there.
Hopefully catch you at a gig soon, Rob.
Tate’s cut out for major Break
RISING star Tate McRae was interviewed by Britney Spears for her latest big magazine chat – and seems to have taken inspiration from her bold pop looks.
She paired a cut-out bodysuit with fingerless gloves, striking tights and heels, for V mag’s Gen V5 – The Beauty & Beat issue, tweaking the get-up for the front cover.
During the chat, the pair had a love-in about their mutual respect, with Britney calling Tate’s You Broke Me First one of her favourite songs.
Tate revealed: “I wrote [it] when I was 16 and had never experienced real heartbreak – only on a small scale.”
Inspiration came “from friendships or situation-ships . . . dealing with someone wanting your relationship back, after giving them your all and them not recognising it.”
KASABIAN SET FOR GLASTO?
THEY’RE the best thing to come out of my hometown of Leicester in years. And now Kasabian are favourites to play a Glastonbury secret set.
Bookies suspended betting on the band after a flurry of punts.
William Hill told me: “Plenty of people seem to be in the know that Serge Pizzorno’s band will be appearing at Glasto and have taken the initial 3/1 we offered.”
Pulp, Kings of Leon, Green Day and Tame Impala are all still being offered up by the bookies.
I’d be so happy if Kasabian did turn up for the surprise set. But I’m not best pleased I missed out on the chance of putting a tenner on them.
