A WOMAN has revealed that she is a ‘cougar’ in an age-gap relationship.
Mel Moon, 43, an influencer from Burnley, has been married to her husband Alfie, since 2021.

But Alfie is 13 years younger than Mel, and as a result, the mum-of-three is often mistaken for being Alfie’s parent.
Not only this, but the blonde beauty claimed that people assume that Alfie is only with her for her money, but she confirmed that she doesn’t actually have any cash.
Posting on social media, Mel wrote: “My husband and I are in an age gap relationship. Hopefully this clears things.”
She and Alfie then revealed things about their age-gap relationship that make sense, as she said: “We have an age gap relationship so at least once when we go out somebody will refer to me as his mum.”
Alfie then chimed in: “We are in an age gap relationship and when she refers to our childhood she really means hers, because I wasn’t even born yet.”
Mel explained that as a result of her man being younger, she doesn’t have to worry about him playing with her emotions, as she claimed: “We are in an age gap relationship, so when I tell him to stop playing games, I mean literal PS5 games, not games with my feelings.”
But as a result of their age difference, the pair aren’t always totally on the same page, as Alfie wondered: “We are in an age gap relationship and what the f**k are Werther’s originals?”
Similarly, the couple’s music taste differs massively as a result of their age, as Mel confirmed: “We are in an age gap relationship and no, I don’t think Central Cee is the Shakespeare of our time.”
Following this, Alfie then explained: “We are in an age gap relationship and I like to go to bed at normal times. But she likes to go to bed at the same time as my nan.”
Mel revealed that people make assumptions about their relationship, as she confirmed: “We are in an age gap relationship and everybody thinks he’s with me for my money, but what people don’t know is, I don’t actually have any money.”
Alfie made light of their age gap and continued: “We are in an age gap relationship and at least once a day I like to remind her how old she is because I remember women love that s**t.”
Finally, Mel joked: “We are in an age gap relationship, so when he does remind me how old I am, I send him to bed.”
Mel later shared: “According to the internet the gap makes me a cougar not a jaguar.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @mel.moon.comedian, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 219,200 views in just two days.
Many other social media users could relate to Mel and Alfie’s age-gap and took to the comments to open up about their relationships.
One person said: “Same, 16 years between me and hubby, he’s older than me and people think he’s my dad.”
Another added: “I know the feeling, me and my partner are 10 years apart.”
A third commented: “I’m in an age gap relationship, I’m younger [and] he’ll talk about stuff I know nothing about as I wasn’t even born when he was a kid. It drives me mad, and he gets frustrated.”
