‘I would sue, that’s disgusting’ people gasp as woman spots ‘disrespectful’ and ‘gross’ detail at a beach wedding buffet

A woman has left people divided after spotting a 'gross' detail at a beach wedding

A WOMAN has left people totally divided after revealing the ‘hilarious’ detail she spotted at a recent wedding.

The woman explained that she went to a beach wedding and had a strange discovery when helping herself to some food at the buffet.

Totally stunned at her find, the content creator, who is a self-proclaimed ‘crazy cat lady’, took to social media to share it with others.

But social media users were not only left open-mouthed at the find, but were also seriously divided – as whilst some found it hilarious, others were left in disgust.

Posting online, the woman, who is from Canada, showed off some of the buffet dishes – a pesto pasta and a cucumber and tomato Greek salad.

The wedding attendee then penned: “When you go to a beach wedding…and the food is amazing, but you see the food served in this…”

What initially appeared as a standard, plastic food container, was in fact something with a very different intended purpose.

The cat lover zoomed in on the grey container, giving social media users a close-up look at a large sticker on the side of the box.

But it turns out that the box was originally intended for cats to do their business in, as on the side of the container read ‘Litter Box’.

To this, the woman wrote: “Tell me your thoughts below.”

She then asked users: “Do you go for second helpings?”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ptsdfunnyfarm, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as at the time of writing, it was shared just three days prior, but had quickly gone viral and had since racked up a whopping 1.9 million views.

But social media users were divided over the buffet box – whilst some found it hilarious and didn’t see a problem, others were left in horror.

One person said: “I mean it’s just a container. as long as it wasn’t previously used as an actual litter box.”

As long as it’s a new one and not used, what’s the problem?

Another added: “If it was new, then it’s fine.”

A third commented: “It’s obviously brand new so I don’t think it’s matters.”

Why it’s time to ditch wedding favours once and for all

By Josie Griffiths, Deputy Digital Fabulous Editor and bride-to-be

Josie Griffiths said: When was the last time you spotted something in a shop window or browsed past it online and thought “that would be the perfect gift for 120 of my closest friends, work colleagues, relatives and boyfriend’s mate’s partners I barely know”?

I’ll tell you when, never, because there is NO universal gift everyone is going to love – unless you want to bankrupt yourself buying Rolexes and Tiffany jewellery, and even then they wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste.

So why do brides still pile the stress (and expense) of wedding favours on top of everything else we have to organise?

I’ve been to dozens of weddings over the past five years so when I got engaged, I already had a mental list of dos and don’ts for my own big day, and ditching wedding favours was firmly on it.

The cost of buying an individual present for everyone coming is huge, meaning many couples try and keep it in the under-a-fiver category.

But the reality is no-one wants a cheap, ill-thought-out keepsake – they’d probably rather one more free drink from the bar.

It’s not only that, wedding handbags are notoriously small, with no room to stuff an unexpected gift in, and catering waiters have a bad habit of whisking away the wedding favours when they’re clearing the coffee mug off the tables.

I bet none of my guests will even notice the lack of random gift on their dining table.

If you really hate the idea of not buying something for your guests, charity donations are always a nice gesture.

But the last thing your friends and family need is more random tat cluttering up their homes – so it’s time to save them the guilt of binning your Etsy-bought keyring.

Whilst someone else agreed: “As long as it’s a new one and not used, what’s the problem?”

However, at the same time, many were incredibly grossed out by the discovery.

I would sue because that’s disgusting

One user slammed: “Nope nope nope. Suing them.”

A second chimed in: “This would bother me…I know it’s not used but still gross.”

Another user wrote: “It’s disgusting, also disrespectful to guests.”

I went back for seconds, it really was hilarious

Wedding attendee

Whilst one penned: “No I would sue because that’s disgusting, used or not, and not safe.”

Following this, the woman later revealed that she found it hilarious, as she explained: “Seriously, this made my night!!

“I had to chuckle…and also think the cook was a little bit brilliant!!

“As long as the litter box was new, obviously it was, and I went back for seconds, but it really was hilarious!!”
