IT is one of the most glamorous events in the world, with A-list stars clamouring to get an invite.
And one model who managed to bag himself a place on the red carpet as a greeter has revealed exactly what it’s like, giving us a behind the scenes look at the coveted bash.

Eugenio Casnighi stole the show back in 2023 when he appeared behind Kylie Jenner in a series of snaps.
The 27-year-old later claimed he was fired for “upstaging” Kylie and going viral in the background of her glamorous images.
But he says Kylie was completely professional throughout, telling us: “It was really professional. She behaved like someone that obviously didn’t know me and in a nice way.
She wasn’t expecting me to be there for her, do whatever
for her. She was always asking me, ‘Is that ok? Can you please do this for me?’ and I was like of course, I’m here for this.
“She’s very nice. Surprisingly, a lot of people are disappointed when I say that. But I can’t lie. She was actually nice to me.”
Not everyone was so friendly though and Eugenio says Shawn Mendes and Bad Bunny weren’t as nice as he hoped.
He explained: “People usually think I’m a guest as I’m standing there with them. They’ll ask me ‘What do you do? Where are you coming from? Do I know you from something?’
“When I mention I’m here for work, they completely shut down, turn around, and talk with someone else. Shawn Mendes does it with everyone.
“The one person that disappointed me the most was Bad Bunny. He wasn’t friendly with people in the background at all.”
Eugenio added: “Maybe it’s just the moment. I understand that it’s also, even if you’re that big of a celebrity, it’s a lot of pressure.”
He also revealed that two celebrities had to be kept apart when they hit the red carpet back in 2022 – Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
“They were two guests that couldn’t stand next to each other. Like, at all…one of the two said they were pretty close to leaving the Met Gala.
“So basically they held one of them back, and let the other go to the front of the line. It was the only time I’ve seen them [the Met Gala PR team] panic because it would have been a news nightmare if one of them left.”

Revealing more about his interaction with Kylie, he told Casino.org: “Kylie gave me a tip before we went on the red carpet.
“She told me, ‘Don’t get too far from me, or it’ll look weird, like you’re chasing me. But don’t stay too close, or it’ll look like we’re dating.’
“Looking back on it now, that was honestly so true.
“She wanted me to stay 5 steps away from her, so that’s how we did it.”
He added: “It was funny to me because a lot of people hated that I was next to her, like I was ruining her image.
“I wasn’t pretending to be her date or anything, I was literally just there, holding her bag.
“That’s what I was paid to do. I wasn’t looking at the camera.”
