AN eagle-eyed customer snagged the find of a lifetime at Goodwill.
The thrift shopper got a deal almost too good to be true.
One shopper in Texas found an incredible score at Goodwill.
A $20 secondhand bag turned out to be an authentic Louis Vuitton handbag.
The lucky buyer posted her find on social media.
The influencer, who goes by the username @megzzthestallion on TikTok, claims that she found the iconic handbag for only $20.
“I found this purse in the fields for $20,” the user said.
“Seems real, feels real. I’m going to send it in to see if it’s real, get it authenticated.”
The bag was adorned with the unmistakable ‘LV’ monogram logo.
It retails for $3,200 new, according to the video.
“If it’s not real, then it’s 20 bucks,” she said.
“And if it is real, then wow, that’s the deal of my life.”
The TikTok user included an update from a few months later in the same video.
After sending the cheap find in to Louis Vuitton, the French luxury fashion house confirmed the bag’s authenticity.
The user received the refurbished bag with some modifications at her request, along with a hand-written note and a letter of authenticity.
Along with having the bag authenticated, she had the zipper, leather tab, and change slider altered.
The slider and puller were done for free, but she was charged for the new zipper.
The bag even came in a Louis Vuitton-branded dust bag.
“She comes in her very own dust bag,” she said, showing off the elaborate packaging.
The user did not even know if the bag was authentic when she sent it in for repair.
“I sent this bag in not knowing if it was real, like it could’ve been a dupe,” she said.
“And I saw another girl make a post that she found a coin bag at Goodwill for three dollars, and sent it in and [Louis Vuitton] replaced all of it and sent her the authentication records.”
