A YOUTUBER has documented what it was like staying in ‘one of the US’ worst motels, including his frightening experience.
A social media star spent the night at the Bama Inn, where they showcased a myriad of roaches and the safety precautions they had to take.
The YouTuber Tommy Mcgee (@TommyGMcGee) had gone on a multi-state road trip and decided to spend the night at the motel, located in Huntsville, Alabama.
From the moment they drove through to the motel, Mcgee instantly noticed that something was off.
“Oh my god, there’s not even a Lobby to walk into ’cause it’s so dangerous,” the YouTuber claimed in the video.
The group had walked up to the window, which was confirmed to be covered by bulletproof glass, to get the keys to their room.
Walking up the stairs to their room they immediately spotted garbage and a contraption they speculated was used to catch rats in the motel.
When entering the room, they immediately noticed that there was nothing to lock the door, meaning it would be very easy to get into their rooms at night.
“We’re going to have to barricade this door,” Mcgee said.
When inspecting the bedroom sheets, they claimed it was covered with cigarette burns, and even showed viewers a random strand of hair, and odd stains that they had found.
Around the room, they saw multiple bugs both dead and alive.
He sent photos to pest control, who revealed that the hotel could have serious problems if his guess it correct.
“I’m about 95% sure they all appear to be German roaches” the exterminator speculated looking at photos of the bugs.
“It’s a tricky pest to get rid of, but it requires special service and it’s definitely something that wouldn’t go away with one treatment of the owner’s hotel”
The men left the hotel and bought a doorjam since they read that people walking into each other’s rooms was a common complaint.
It came in handy, as they appeared to have heard something strange from outside of their door, later that night.
“We were all sleeping, then all of a sudden ‘boom’ [it’s the] door,” Mcgee explained.
The YouTube video goes against everything the Motel describes itself on its website.
The owners referred to their motel as a “luxury stay, seeped in comfort, ” and highlighted their “hygienic rooms” and “high-speed internet.”
