A SUPERCAR influencer has revealed how she went from quitting her 9 to 5 to driving some of the world’s best motors and owning her £500,000 dream car.
Alex Hirschi, better known as SupercarBlondie, left behind humble beginnings to establish a multi-million business empire through her social media stardom.
Alex, 38, started out as a radio journalist before giving it all up to move with to Dubai when her husband found a new job there.
Out of work and in a new home, she quickly set about building her global brand.
Sitting down with Sun Motors, the social media superstar, who boasts an Instagram following of over 16 million, said she can’t believe how far she’s come from those days.
Alex said: “Cars were always just my side passion and just as a hobby.
“As a side gig to me working every day I would go and find cool cars to film.
“I came to Dubai straight out of university…there’s a lot of access to beautiful cars here.
“I thought ‘wow maybe one day I might even be able to afford a supercar.
“About seven years ago I quit my career in radio and jumped into social media full-time.
“Growing up that was never a career choice…so for me to be in social media now and have that as a full-time job…is just something I never could have predicted.”
Since then, Alex has worked tirelessly to build her business, driving some pretty insane cars on the way.
Some of her personal favourites involved a Mercedes concept car inspired by the film Avatar and another prototype that changed its interior lighting based on the colours it picks up from its surroundings.
Thanks to her determination and dedication, she has now built up a business empire spanning everything from her media company to a car design studio.
She even revealed that she recently received an offer to buy the business for over £100 million, which she turned down.

Best of all, the success of her social media ventures have allowed her to grow her own car collection with some pretty amazing models.
Alex added: “I never thought I’d be a Rolls Royce owner.
“Before I started this I was driving a rented Mitsubishi.
“I couldn’t afford anything.
“I’ve not got a Rolls Royce Wraith and I just got a Rolls Royce Specter, the first fully electric Rolls Royce.
“Then I have a Brabus G800 [with] a Tiffany Blue interior [worth £500,000]…and a McLaren 720s.”
And for her next car, she’s planning to get a Lamborghini Revuelto, which starts at around £450,000.
New Horizons
But that’s not the only exciting project Alex has coming up, as she just launched a new supercar auction house – the first globe-spanning platform to specialise in the sale of high-end vehicles.
SBX Cars went live on April 2 2024, with £100 million-worth of lots already available, including the Tesla Cybertruck.
Alex went on: “We have some pretty cool stuff coming out.
“We’re going to be doing approximately 10 to 15 new items a week when we launch.
“We’re going to get the customer service element of the in-house auctions…and combine it with the convenience of the online world.”
