A YOUNG woman has claimed that she believes has been denied jobs as a result of her ‘demonic’ tattoos.
Ash Putnam, 23, believes that she was rejected by TK Maxx, TJ Maxx in the US, after she was judged for having face and neck tattoos.
The content creator took to social media to share her frustrations, but was brutally trolled for her “scary” body art.
Her video has since gone viral, and has been viewed more than seven million times.
The tattoo lover explained that she has been getting tattoos for years, after being first inspired by her father, as well as the music artists she admired.
Talking on TikTok about her recent experience at the high-street chain, she said: “I applied for a job at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago and they denied my application.
“They couldn’t even call me, they just sent me some automated email.”
Ash then claimed that she went into the store to ask the reason why she wasn’t hired. She continued: “I asked her if it was about my tattoos because I know a lot of places don’t like tattoos.
“She said that wasn’t the reason, I don’t feel like that’s true but whatever, I will leave it at that.”
Ash, who is an Uber Eats driver from California, added: “Just because I have tattoos does not mean I am not going to be a good worker. I do not understand that at all.”
But despite Ash’s fury, the video, which was posted just three days ago, under the username @ashxobrien, has since amassed over 68,000 comments.
And trolls weren’t keen to hold back their thoughts on the woman’s inkings, as one user wrote: “LOL YOU SCARE THE KIDS.”
Another person penned: “HR supervisor here. There is no way any company would put you in front of customers like TJ Maxx.”
Whilst a third said: “It’s your tattoos and your energy.”

After going viral, Ash spoke to the Daily Star, and vowed: “I am not going to change who I am for minimum wage jobs.”
She added: “I absolutely do think it’s about my tattoos because apparently my tattoos are demonic and scary to a lot of people.
“People are being extremely hateful on my TikTok saying I should work at a circus or Halloween stores.”

But the ink enthusiast, who has a demon spider on her neck, emphasised that she has no regrets about her body art choices.
She was keen to send a message to employers, as she snapped: “If they think tattoos determine job skill and qualifications they really need to rethink.
“Tattoos, piercings and coloured hair are not unprofessional. It shows creativity and uniqueness. It’s 2024, people need to get over not liking tattoos.”
