SHE’S “easily influenced” when it comes to watching other people gushing about their purchases on TikTok.
And because of that, Celesta has managed to acquire numerous products that she’s seen being posted about on the social media app.
“I put together a list of influencer hype products that I personally ended up purchasing into because I am very easily influenced,” she said in a video on her TikTok page.
“If I see it enough on TikTok, if I see it shoved down my throat enough with ads, I will buy it.
“So I’m gonna tell you guys if they were smash or pass!”
She kicked off her list with the UGG Tasmans, which she’d purchased in a child’s size.
As she didn’t try them on beforehand, they didn’t fit her correctly, and her foot hung over the back.
But otherwise they would have been a “smash”.
She also wasn’t impressed with the Jimmy Choo India heels, which she picked up in a recent sale.
“Honestly, I have to say pass,” she said.
“I wore them once for brunch, and we walked around Like, a little bit afterwards, and I noticed my pinky toe gets stuck in the strap as I’m walking.
“I think it’s because the strap is just so thin, and there’s so many of them that it just gets stuck there!”
The next review she shared was of the candle warmer which has been viral on TikTok for the “last four months or so”.
“I was skeptical at first, but I love it,” she raved.
“I really think it prolongs the life of the candle. It’s quite fragrant.
“My entire house can smell the candle, and I just think it is so worth it. I do really like it.
“I feel like it prolongs the life of the candles.
“And you’re able to adjust the dimness of it – that depends on how quickly the candle melts as well.
“And you can set a timer on it, so I usually just have it on a two hour timer, and then it turns off by itself.
“Overall, I really, really like it, and I have to say, it is a smash!”
She then moved on to talking about the Stanley cup, which she couldn’t resist picking up when it was released in a new pastel colour.
On the beauty front, she bought the Summer Fridays jet lag mask, after receiving a recommendation from a college friend.
But she said it didn’t give her as much hydration as she was hoping.
“Honestly, this is not worth it,” she said.
“Why are there so many reviews on this? Why is everyone talking about this brand?
“I feel like there’s better moisturisers out there.”
Next was Charlotte Tilbury’s highlighter wand, which she loved but exploded on her.
And when she bought it for a second time, it exploded again.
“If they came out with a different application,” she added.
“I would absolutely say smash. I really like the product itself. I just don’t know that I like the application.”
She also rated the MEJ claw clip, which she said was “beautiful” but not worth the price tag, and the viral Uniqlo crossbody bag.
“This was a very viral bag for least a year, two years,” she said.
“When I was traveling, I noticed everywhere people had the Uniqlo bag, whether that’s New York, Europe, Asia.
“I also got mine in Japan, where it was cheaper. It was almost half off.
“And I did a little custom embroidery for it.
“And I really like that bag for travel because it’s so slouchy.
“It fits a lot of stuff.
“So for that reason, I do think it makes a very good, like, travel bag.
“If you’re looking for a very carefree, hands free kind of bag, gonna, like, grab travel with.
“For the price point, I think it is a smash.”
Celesta concluded her round up with the Dior D-joy bag, and the Beis luggage – the latter of which she said she’d repurchase in an instant.
