Hugh Jackman’s wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, has officially filed for divorce nearly two years after the pair announced their separation.
Furness’ filing in New York came after the former couple revealed their mutual split in September 2023.
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” Furness and Jackman said in a statement at the time. “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
Furness’ lawyer, Elena Karabatos, also submitted filings regarding the pair’s settlement, health care coverage and medical child support, People reports.
HuffPost has reached out to Jackman’s and Furness’ reps for comment.
Jackman, 56, and Furness, 69, tied the knot in 1996 after meeting the year before while filming the Australian TV series “Correlli.” The former couple share two children — son Oscar and daughter Ava.

The “Wolverine” actor has been romantically linked to his “Music Man” co-star Sutton Foster since last year. Foster and Jackman went public with their romance in January after they were seen holding hands on a dinner date in Los Angeles.
A source claimed to Us Weekly in November 2024 that Foster and Jackman’s relationship is the “reason Hugh and Deb got divorced” after rumors circulated that the pair had become close while starring in the Broadway production.
“A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people,” the source alleged. “Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”
Neither Furness nor Jackman has publicly confirmed the reason behind their divorce.
Foster filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024 after 10 years of marriage.
