Former Viva Hot Babes member Rachel Villanueva’s passion for eyelashes and luxury cars have become her inspiration to get into businesses she loves.
She believes that just because there is a pandemic, we should already forget about our physical appearances.
“We have to take care of [ourselves] and pamper [ourselves],” she said at the grand opening of her business, Estetika Wellness and Beauty Clinic, as well as AutoFlare, an automotive dealership of luxury cars yesterday, July 3.
Villanueva recalled how she toiled long and hard to put up her businesses, like when she felt frustrated about her small eyes when she was younger.
“Super fan ako ng eyelash extension. I love hairs. ‘Yun ‘yung idea. I thought, bakit hindi ko na lang siya gawing business? It’s my passion din,” she said on why she established a beauty clinic.
(I am a super fan of eyelash extensions. I love hairs. That was the idea. I thought, why not make a business out of it? It is also my passion.)
“For Autoflare, we offer consignment. For those clients na gusto nang magpalit ng cars, puwede ninyong i-consign sa amin ‘yung mga cars ninyo, free of charge,” she said about her car business.
(…For clients who already want to replace their cars, you can consign your cars to us, free of charge.)
Villanueva is a third generation member of Viva Hot Babes. She was launched in 2005 and left showbiz a year after to work at Mercedes Benz Alabang.
“Meron silang tinatawag na aging units. ‘Yun ‘yung mga units na, for example 2022 ngayon, ‘yung mga hindi naibenta last year, tumanda na siya ng isang taon. Once tumanda na ng isang taon, that’s what you call aging units already,” she explained.
(They have this thing called aging units. Those are the units that are, for example, have not been sold last year, so they aged for one year. Once a unit ages one year, you already call that an aging unit.)
“They’re all brand new, never been used. I was able to sell 30 units in two months’ time,” she recalled.
This eventually led her to set up her own businesses.
“Binigyan ako ng opportunity to sell those units. And doon ko nakuha ‘yung funds to put up a business,” she shared. (I was given an opportunity to sell those units. And that was where I got the funds to set up my own business(es).) JB
