The cast of HBO’s hit show House of the Dragon may have just found itself barred for life from Philadelphia after a hilarious conversation about cheesesteaks and hoagies.
The international incident occurred during an appearance on Buzzfeed’s Puppy Interview, where they answered questions about the show while, of course, playing with puppies.
At the 5:38 mark of the video above, BuzzFeed asks “Is there an American food — dish, candy, snack, etc. — you have heard about but haven’t had a chance to try yet?
That’s when Fabien Frankel, who plays Criston Cole, mentioned that he’s currently living in Philadelphia and is enamored by cheesesteaks. More specifically, Frankel says he’s really come to love cheesesteaks from Angelo’s Pizzeria in South Philly near the Italian Market.
It’s a good choice! Angelo’s makes great steaks.
But that’s when things went off the rails a bit.

Emma D’Arcy, who plays a leading role as Queen Rhaenyra, then asks what a cheesesteak is, which is a wild question in its own right.
But it got worse!
Frankel then begins to explain the inner workings of the beloved sandwich, before a BuzzFeed producer steps in and says “it’s a hoagie bread.”
“What’s that?!,” D’Arcy then asks in absolute awe. “Is it like a hot dog?”
No. No it is not.
D’Arcy explains that she initially believed a cheesesteak was just a steak with some cheese on it. Which, kind of…
Meanwhile, Matt Smith spends the entire answer completely distracted by the adorable puppies they’re meant to be playing with.
The whole thing is just a giant reminder that the world is actually a very large place and things you take for granted in your everyday life may not be as common as you believe.
House of the Dragon Season 2 has only just begun and is already drawing rave reviews from fans across the world.
