TV presenter Holly Willoughby from This Morning and Dancing on Ice is celebrating 15 years of marriage. And she’s celebrating with a pool day. Willoughby posted a revealing new photo on Instagram. Willoughby notably doesn’t like to talk about what she does to exercise or what her diet is. She explained why to Prima Magazine. “I actually avoid talking about my diet and exercise regime because I have interviewed so many people affected by eating disorders and I know that some people in chat rooms can really fixate on other people’s diets. I just can’t contribute to that.”
Willoughby did reveal some things about her diet to Prima Magazine. She says that she likes to cook a lot of her meals. “I’m healthy; I love food – it’s a celebration, something to be talked over, shopped for, cooked and enjoyed. I love cooking. Nothing fancy – just standard home-made stuff. I make a very good spaghetti.”
Another reason Willoughby doesn’t like to talk about her secrets is she wants others to find what works for them. She tells the Daily Mail, “I don’t want to go on the record saying I did this or that, and then have other women read it and think they have to go and do the same.”
After having her daughter, Willoughby started working with a trainer. She worked with Pilates trainer Lynne Robinson to help her get in shape. “I worked with Holly for several months, teaching her privately at her home once a week,” she says to The Sun. “Holly had postnatal mat work classes which concentrated on strengthening and toning her core.”
Willoughby tells Prima that she is consistent with her lifestyle. “As long as I’m being healthy, that’s good enough for me. I’m quite active and I try not to let the way I look be the main focus because it’s not the important thing.” “But how much exercise is too much? You should expect a little muscle soreness after workouts, especially in the beginning. But if you find that your body is simply not recovering between workouts, you may be overtraining,” says Harvard Health. “Remember that seniors need more recovery time than younger people.”
