The “One Tree Hill” star rose to fame in the early aughts from playing Peyton Sawyer on the beloved WB-turned-CW series, and she is now giving her fans a glimpse into her life through writing memoirs.

Burton, 40, transitioned into the literary universe with her first memoir, chronicling a vast life transition!

The Rural Diaries: Love, Livestock, and Big Life Lessons Down on Mischef Farm,” published in the spring of 2020, depicts Burton’s family’s transition (she is married to “The Walking Dead” star Jeffery Dean Morgan) to the calmer rural lifestyle from the ‘hustle and bustle’ of their previous New York City homestead.

Peyton Sawyer loved to commemorate all of her big life moments through music and art, and the woman who brought her to life also has a connection to recording her story.

“The Grimoire Girl” chronicles Burton-Morgan’s lifelong commitment to keeping track of her life, which, according to the book’s summary, began to show the actress the real meaning behind why she has always been attracted to keeping a catalog of her life story.

Parenthood pushed Burton-Morgan into discovering who she is via her lifelong recording. The “Rural Diaries” author suddenly was confronted with figuring out which artifacts from her life she wanted to gift her children (she and Morgan have a son and daughter).

Through her research, Burton-Morgan’s gatherings seemed to morph into a book called a grimoire.

Supernatural devotees may be familiar with grimoires. Merriam-Webster’s definition of a grimoire is “A magician’s manual for invoking demons and the spirits of the dead.”

For Burton-Morgan, her personal experience of a grimoire had to do with “the tangible collection of a lifetime of learning,” and it served as “a guide to keeping you alive.” (Harper Collins).

Readers will be able to read “The Grimoire Girl” and better understand the actress as they get to see “the things that have kept Hilarie alive” throughout her life. “The Grimoire Girl” features illustrations, stories, and ways readers can incorporate witchy vibes into their lives.

The book also features “Practical ways” for witchy readers to start their altars and incorporate “poetry spells, flower magic, and recipes for everyday enchantment.”

Burton-Morgan Is Certainly Enchanted By The Cover Of ‘The Grimoire Girl’

On Thursday morning, Burton-Morgan gave her Instagram followers a magical gift: she posted the cover for “The Grimoire Girl,” which will be released in the fall!

She began her caption, “I am just BEYOND excited to share the cover for my latest book #TheGrimoireGirl with you all! Seriously. I’ve been nervous. Impatient. Giddy. All the things. Because I oooooh this book. 💖,”

Burton-Morgan continued, “I love that it made me reflect on both the good and the bad in my history. And at every turn, it made me choose magic…”

She then explained the 4-1-1 on Grimoires. “A grimoire is a book of life-saving knowledge. A spell book. A book of prayers and rituals. This is mine. A collection of memoir essays, magical practices, and a big dose of love to help you get through whatever you’re going through, this book is a reminder that we all already have all the tools we need to create a magical existence.”

She provides a link for her followers to grab signed and unsigned copies of the booknts. The signed copies are available for a limited time via Burton-Morgan’s local indie bookstore, Oblong Books.
